BROKEN BONES AND BUSINESS PLANS

WHAT A YEAR.

THE START OF THE SEASON DID NOT GO TO PLAN WITH ME HAVING A ROTATIONAL FALL AT HOME OFF OF A YOUNG HORSE, A TOTAL FREEK ACCIDENT THAT RESULTED IN LOTS OF BROKEN RIBS, A FAIRLY SERIOUS CONCUSSION AND A VERY DAMAGED LEG/KNEE, THAT WE STILL HAVEN’T MANAGED TO FIX FULLY.

I MANAGED TO BOUNCE BACK AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND ALTHOUGH LATER THAN PLANNED I CRACKED ON WITH THE SEASON (I’LL DO A SEASON REVIEW IN ANOTHER BLOG)

AND THEN 2 DAYS AFTER THE SEASON FINISHED AND IT WAS TIME TO CRACK ON WITH THE YOUNGSTERS AND SALES HORSES, I MANAGED TO TAKE A SIMPLE TUMBLE THAT LANDED BADLY, SNAPPING MY ARM, VERY WELL TIMED BUT VERY PAINFUL.

THANKFULLY THIS YEAR I’VE BEEN WORKING AWAY IN THE BACKGROUND TO CHANGE THE BUSINESS SLIGHTLY TO HAVING LESS OF MY OWN HORSES BASED HERE FULL TIME AND MORE FULL LIVERIES. I’VE ALSO TAKEN ON ALOT MORE TEACHING WHICH I’VE ALWAYS ENJOYED BUT NEVER HAD THE TIME TO WIDEN MY CLIENT BASE. BEING BROKEN HAS ALLOWED ME TO PUT SOLID PLANS IN PLACE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH AND CONTINUE TO DEVELOP THE YARD TO ALLOW EXPANSION ON THE FULL LIVERY SIDE OF THE PREMISES.

WE’VE WELCOMED SOME FANTASTIC CLIENTS TO THE TEAM THIS YEAR AND IM LOOKING FORWARD TO HELPING THEM ALL ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL GOALS AND MAKE SURE THEIR HORSES GET THE 5* CARE THAT THEY MOST DEFINATLEY DESERVE.
